I uninstalled and reinstalled the Android app and the errant task was gone. The support team did something at the back end with my account sync. So this time, I change the due date to 10 years in the future. Today, it's back with the original date from last year. So, this time, I change the due date to today and mark it complete. Evernote is about doing single tasks, not planning and executing the plan. Todoist has dozens more features, robust, easy to use, easy to reschedule busy days, easy to prioritise, uses plain language, understands projects, sub tasks, customisable alerts. Tags, lists, projects, and due dates are all helpful, and the best to-do apps offer at least a few categories like this. Evernote's tasks is almost as useless as Google's. If you have a simple and small set of tasks you do on a repeated basis, you can have them in a list to one side to check and uncheck them as you complete them. Offer multiple ways to organize your tasks. The first and certainly easiest way to do recurring tasks in Notion is to simply separate the task lists. Create a master list in a single note, and then use note links to connect the other notes that contain information on each task. So I look at every instance of EN on every device and check the web version (Apparently web doesn't have tasks?) The only place it exists is on the Android phone and the Android tablet, which I never use for tasks. Ideally, a task is added and categorized in a couple taps or keystrokes. I look on the Android phone where I am running the widget and find it in the tasks list, so I delete it from there. I look at tasks on my Windows app and it's not there. I have no uncompleted tasks, but I click on it and delete it. The next day a task shows up at the top from a year ago. It syncs up almost immediately and everything looks fine. As soon as I get the new update, I add the widget with tasks. I never used the widget because, without recurring tasks, it had no value. The ability to manage tasks in Evernote has been one of the primary user requests. Please DM me if you're still seeing the issue so I can help out. I can probably help you with eliminating your ghost tasks.
